In a fantastic display of skill and strategy, the Montana Tech Orediggers sealed a resounding 12-0 victory over the University of Idaho Vandals on November 8th, 2025, at the Butte Community Ice Center.
The Orediggers dominated the game from the start, outshooting the Vandals 54-26. The Vandals struggled to find their footing, with their powerplay going 0/4. The Orediggers, on the other hand, capitalized on their opportunities, with a powerplay success of 1/3.
Vandals’ goalie Colin Crecelius had a challenging night, facing 54 shots and making 42 saves. In contrast, Orediggers’ Rhett Engel had a perfect game, stopping all 26 shots he faced, ensuring a shutout for the team.
