Dr. Rathgeber leads the Orediggers as team manager. Born in Ontario and raised in Alberta, he is also a member of the Montana Tech Petroleum Engineering faculty — bringing the same standards to the club that he brings to the classroom while steering the club’s day-to-day operations.

A lifelong hockey player and coach from Somerset, Wisconsin, Ryan has had the privilege of coaching in Butte for the past four years. Ryan is passionate about helping players grow both on and off the ice, and building a strong hockey culture in our community. Ryan is excited to be part of the growth of hockey throughout Montana and to help shape the future of Montana Tech Men’s hockey.

A retired US Air Force veteran, Jody has been around hockey for over 50 years, coaching various levels throughout Montana, North Dakota, Alaska, and Nevada. A certified trainer, Jody keeps the players healthy and striving for excellence on and off the ice.

Mike Langdon is a career coach and ice hockey scout who continues to travel the globe looking for players for Montana Tech and directing prospects to the Digger ice hockey program. He just returned from Sweden and Finland, where he coaches with MCN Sports Management in the Lions Cup. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Mike played most of his hockey in Ontario and moved back out west after his playing days were over. Mike met Jocelyn, his spouse of 40 years, in southern Alberta, and together they raised 5 boys and 3 girls. Hockey has been an important part of their household — their younger boys Jack (19) and Tolosa (18) played at a high level and look toward a future in hockey. Mike continues to develop and seek out quality hockey players and “good humans” looking for a university experience while playing in the ACHA with Montana Tech.
