In a thrilling display of offensive prowess, Montana Tech’s Orediggers dominated the Eastern Washington University Eagles with a staggering 11-4 victory last night at the University Recreation Center-EWU.

Despite being outshot by the Eagles 53 to 38, the Orediggers made the most of their opportunities, with their powerplay converting 2 out of 3 chances. The Eagles, on the other hand, struggled to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities, scoring just once in five attempts.

In the net, Orediggers’ goalie Carson Burkart put on a masterclass, stopping 49 of the 53 shots he faced. The Eagles’ Riley Anderson had a tough night, managing to save only 9 of the 38 shots he faced.

On the offensive end, Orediggers’ #21 Jack Delici was the star of the show, tallying an impressive four assists. For the Eagles, #27 Adam Pellerin managed to score two goals, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Orediggers’ onslaught.

The Orediggers will look to carry this momentum into their next game, which is an away fixture against Western Washington University on Friday, January 23, at 10:30 pm PST at the Bellingham Sportsplex.

This victory is a testament to the Orediggers’ tenacity and skill, and their fans can surely look forward to more such exciting performances in the future.
