In a game that can only be described as a complete domination, the Montana Tech Orediggers bulldozed their way through the University of Idaho Vandals with a staggering 11-0 victory at the Butte Community Ice Center. The game took place on November 7th, 2025, and it was clear from the get-go that the Orediggers were in a league of their own.
The Orediggers controlled the game from the outset, unleashing a barrage of 68 shots compared to the Vandals’ 22. This offensive onslaught was too much for Vandals’ goalie David Wilson, who managed to save 57 shots but let 11 slip through. On the other side of the ice, Orediggers’ goalie Joe Rolfson had a quieter evening, saving all 22 shots that came his way, keeping a clean sheet.
In terms of special teams, the Orediggers were efficient and deadly. They capitalized on 2 of their 3 powerplays, while the Vandals failed to convert any of their 4 opportunities.
Orediggers’ #27 Tye Carriere had a night to remember, netting a hat trick. Meanwhile, Vandals’ #36 Luke Adams had a rough night, racking up 2 penalty minutes.
The Orediggers will be looking to carry this momentum into their next game, which is a home rematch against the University of Idaho Vandals on Saturday, November 8th, at 7:30 pm MST at the Butte Community Ice Center. If this game was any indication, the Vandals will have their work cut out for them.
