The Montana Tech Orediggers pulled off an exhilarating 4-3 victory over the Utah Valley University Wolverines in overtime at the Butte Community Ice Center on October 11, 2025. Despite being outshot 47 to 33, the Orediggers managed to hold their ground and come out on top.

The Wolverines started off strong, with their powerplay managing to convert 1 out of 9 attempts. However, the Orediggers retaliated with a powerplay that was more effective, converting 3 out of 10 attempts.

Goalies on both sides put on a stellar performance. Brayden Baxter of the Wolverines faced 33 shots and made 29 saves. On the other end, Rhett Engel of the Orediggers faced a barrage of 47 shots but managed to make an impressive 44 saves.
