📢 HONORARY DIGGER ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
Move-in day is always special at @montana_tech , and this year was no different. This past Wednesday, we welcomed the class of 2029 to campus, aided by amazing upper classmen, student athletes, administrators, and faculty.
Much like Move-in day, it takes a village putting in countless hours to ensure that the Digger Hockey club is successful. That’s why every year on Move-in day, we recognize those who have gone above and beyond to ensure Digger Hockey is successful!
This year, we’re honored to present jerseys to 3 members of the Montana Tech family that have shown that passion and dedication to the club: Chancellor Johnny MacLean, Provost Tim Elgren, and Mechanical Engineering Interim Department head Rick LaDouceur.
Although he has just arrived as Montana Techs 13th Chancellor, Johnny has been working tirelessly to connect and support not just the hockey club, but EVERYONE on campus. We’re lucky to have Johnny as a campus leader, and we’re excited to see how he guides our school forward!
Tim Elgren, a hockey player in his own right, has been a proponent of the club and was instrumental in the success of our inaugural Prospect weekend this past March.
Rick has always been in our corner, supporting us in our drive to raise funds, recruit players, and find success on and off the ice.
