The Montana Tech Orediggers faced off against the University of Providence Argonauts this past Saturday, and unfortunately, it was a tough match for our team. The final score stood at Orediggers 0 – Argonauts 8, with the game taking place at the Great Falls Ice Plex.

The Orediggers put up a valiant effort, managing to get off 19 shots on goal throughout the game. However, the Argonauts dominated the offensive end with an impressive 76 shots on goal. Despite our team’s efforts, the Argonauts were able to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities, going 4 for 7, while the Orediggers struggled to convert on their powerplay chances, going 0 for 4.

In the net, Orediggers goalie Brecken Kasse faced a staggering 76 shots, making an impressive 68 saves throughout the game. On the other end, Argonauts goalie Matthias O’Brien faced 19 shots, saving all of them to secure the shutout victory for his team.

It was a hard-fought game, with emotions running high on both sides. Orediggers player #2 Sawyer Inman spent 4 penalty minutes in the box, showcasing the physicality and intensity of the matchup. On the Argonauts side, player #13 Colby Friedrich stood out with 4 assists, contributing significantly to his team’s offensive success.
